Fees and Insurance

Therapeutic and Assessment services can be privately payed or billed through certain insurance providers. Dr. McCloy is an in-network provider for Blue Cross/Blue Shield (HMO and PPO). She is an out-of-network provider for all other insurances. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health care benefits, and will reimburse you for a percentage of the cost of sessions. Be sure to check with your insurance provider regarding those details.

Sometimes clients prefer to pay out of pocket for services. Clients who choose to pay privately have the benefit of not having diagnostic and treatment information shared with their insurance providers, and having treatment dictated or restricted by insurers.

Specific fees are discussed prior to scheduling and during first consultation. Please note, the No Surprises Act (went into effect on 1/1/2022) was created to help end surprise medical billing for clients who do not wish to use insurance benefits. Therefore, both out of network and out of pocket clients are protected under the No Surprises Act.
